Are you creative enough to see the opportunities in your market? What innovations are now coming into vision? Can you take advantage of the current state of the real estate market? Of course you can! All it takes is knowledge and research.
I'll start you on a topic you will want to become VERY familiar with. Solar electric systems design and installation. It is a possible best practice to buy a distressed forclosure for 20 grand, put 10 grand of work into it and another 10 grand of solar panels on, and create a place someone would really love to buy. Quality of life is truly improving into the future.
A great place to learn about it is youtube! Here are a few of the better videos I've found.

Google Earth 5. Absolutly Awesome.
First things is first. You must download google earth 5 right this moment. Whatever you thought you were doing, this is your new computer task. It has been years in development and now google earth is completely mind blowing. Of course, it was always good, but I'm seriously considering building a new dedicated computer for the thing.
So update your Google Earth real quick. When you finish that, we can get into some new real estate visualization technologies for fun, profit, and futurisim.
Just a few observations on the Google Earth 5. It's great how the icons and labels now animate with a bit of bounce to them. They kind of sprout up as they load.
The new HISTORY slider is amazing. To quote Doc Emmet Brown, "This is what makes time travel possible!" Google Earth 5 might as well have come with a flux capacitor.
The whole control bar looks to be better designed. I love there's now an easy button to hide the side bar. And record videos! So you'll be seeing a lot of videos here as I upgrade some.
Learning to use Google Earth fluidly, really will help you to make quicker, smarter and more profitable decisions.
